At Crosby HR we are a tight team of existing or aspiring professionals, looking to support our clients in the best way possible whilst still working in a fun and exciting environment. One of our members, Faye Roberts, has been with us since January 2019 as our Apprentice within the office and here we learn some more about her and her role within the organisation.
Tell us about your role at Crosby HR
My role at Crosby HR is an Apprentice Administrator, which means my role involves things such as general office administration, accurately maintaining files electronically for clients, recruitment administration, absence management, creation of employment contracts and paperwork etc.
What brought you to Crosby HR?
Before starting at Crosby HR I was at sixth form college which I did not enjoy, so I started to look for apprenticeships which led to me applying for this role and here I am today loving it!
What’s your favorite aspect of your job at Crosby HR?
The transactional HR work which includes doing things such as contracts, letters and forms for our clients and their employees.
How has working at Crosby HR helped you grow in your career?
Working at Crosby HR has helped me progress quickly within my role through the 1-1 help and support given to me on a day to day basis from both Beth McHugh, my direct Line Manager, and Vicky Crosby, the business owner.
Tell us something about yourself that may surprise people?
I am a very fussy eater and every day for lunch I eat a chicken and mushroom pot noodle 🙂
What’s your advice for people looking to develop within their role?
I would advise people looking to improve in their role to ensure they ask questions when they are not 100% about something, and never be afraid of doing that. It has helped me a lot having support from those with a lot of experience within the industry and being able to hear and see how they deal with different situations and aspects of HR.
